Residents enjoy delicious dining each day at The Gatesworth thanks to the imaginative efforts of Brian Hardy, Executive Chef since 2001. Chef Hardy, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in New York, came to The Gatesworth after five years as Executive Sous Chef at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis.
Chef Hardy's award-winning cuisine has garnered accolades in numerous prestigious culinary competitions, and he was named 2010 Chef of the Year by the American Culinary Federation Chefs de Cuisine Association of St. Louis. In 2020, Hardy took home the Dr. L.J. Minor Chef Professionalism Award, a sought-after designation nationally awarded to the chef who, per the American Culinary Federation, “exemplifies the highest standard of professionalism through certification, continuing education and training, culinary competitions and community involvement.”
